Tmatt here. I had lunch the other day with a young journalist who is a friend of the program -- Amy Doolittle, of the metro desk at the Washington Times. Some of you will meet her while doing internship work there
.
However, Amy wanted to make sure that you all found out -- ASAP -- about a DC small group that might interest you while you are with us. The Washington Journalism Center is, of course, about a 12-minute walk from Union Station and all of your will be headed through that mass-transit hub on a regular basis. In other words, this is in your new neighborhood.
So here is Amy's note and I will post her email address on the listserv:
Scribe is a confidential, journalists-only small group focuses on community, prayer, support and friendship between Christian reporters in the D.C. area.
We are young, ambitious and eager to follow God and encourage each other.
We meet at 11 a.m. every-other Saturday in the basement of 205 F. Street NE, next door to Ebenezers Coffee House and around the corner from Union Station. Come, grab a cup of coffee and a muffin, and join us.

sounds exciting!
