It's not overstating it when I say that this show seriously helped shape me and a lot of my beliefs. I'm totally not kidding. Between Sesame Street and Mister Rogers, I wouldn't be the same adult without them in my childhood. (And Reading Rainbow, to some extent.) That's why I was so excited to intern with PBS, to be involved--however distantly--with the people responsible for those shows.
I mean, c'mon. Watch that video. It's so simple yet so, so true. Spongebob and Blue's Clues are great and all, but nothing compares to classics like Sesame Street.
Nostalgia time over.
