Now that Thanksgiving is behind us it's time to break out the Christmas music, decorate the tree and, of course, shop. At least, that's what retailers are hoping for.

So, small businesses have had to get creative and this Washington Post article showed several ways local shops are coping.
The facts in the story were on point and interesting and the reporter gathered good interviews and quotes. The story had all the potential to be a fantastic piece of work, however it failed in delivery.
The lede set the mood for the rest of the piece. It failed to grab the reader and came across sounding like the work of a freshman journalism student, not that of a seasoned journalist. The nutgraph was another let down. Again, this article looked very much like the work of an amateur rather than a professional journalist.
A strong leader with experience working in an urban school district who has a proven record of raising student achievement and turning around struggling schools.
