Instead of sleeping in different quarters, married soldiers call “Couples Row” in Camp Striker on the outskirts of Baghdad home.
The article was a rollercoaster ride for me, in that one paragraph would be well equipped with information or a good quote on this new situation for soldiers in Iraq, but the very next would fall short in providing necessary facts to create a well-rounded article.
Two main newspapers from Minneapolis covered the same story involving a Buffalo, Minn. man who was kidnapped 16 months ago in Iraq. The Pioneer Press and the Star Tribune both released stories today announcing that a Minnesota man, Paul Johnson-Reuben, is confirmed dead after his remains were found and identified after almost a year and a half of waiting to hear if he was still alive.
After reading both newspaper's coverage of the story, I was surprised at how different the coverage was. These two different stories remind me how much of a difference one single source or subject of an interview can make.
